Route: A great walk in the quieter far eastern Lakes with great views in all directions. We start by walking up one of the pack horse routes from the banks of Haweswater reaching our first summit of Harter Fell. A short rocky descent leads to a climb over Mardale Ill Bell to our highest point of the day High Street, named after the Roman road that runs just below the summit. From here we descend a little before climbing the peak, The Knott. The peaks of Rampsgill head, High raise and Kidsty Pike quickly follow before descending down gently at first, and then finally quite steeply to the shores of Haweswater. The final section of the walk follows the edge of the reservoir back to the cars.
