Peter Wilson
I’ve been climbing mountains all my life, all over the UK. I still live close to the Lakes, and this is my favourite area.
For many years I have taken groups into the mountains and helped them enjoy the surroundings in the safest way possible. I have led both day and night expeditions and helped teams on charity challenges, including both the National and Yorkshire 3 Peaks.
I compete in mountain marathons, from the Dark Mountains on a winters night to the Marmot 24 Hour summer mountain marathon, that all helps me keep my navigation skills honed.
I am a qualified Summer Mountain Leader, and have up to date outdoor first aid certificate.

Like Peter I know and love the areas around the Lakes very well. However I have lived in the Peak District for the last 25 years and have taken many people on walks in this area as well as taking part in mountain marathons both in the Peak District, Lake District and Scotland.
I have a mountain leader summer qualification and an up to date outdoor first aid certificate. For the last few years I have been involved in a local Duke of Edinburgh group, training and supervising the young people from bronze to gold level. I really enjoyed the last gold expedition in the Lake District where the group did a wild camp and completed a very successful 4 day expedition.
