Route: Starting in Braithwaite near Keswick we take on one of the Lake Districts Classic rounds. The walk starts with a long and steep climb of Grisedale Pike, but the views over Keswick to Skiddaw and surrounding mountains make the climb worthwhile. Once at the summit we then follow a ridge round to Hopegill Head, much more gentle than the first climb. From here we descend, before again climbing again up to Crag Hill (Eel Crag). Via a rock ridge we then move onto Sail, before we descend a famous zig zag path on our way to Causey Pike. Finally we climb Outerside and Barrow and have a great grassy descent back into Braithwaite.
