Crinkle Crags and Bowfell

This is a great Lake district challenge, with a mix of high summits, rocky areas and great views! If the team are looking to climb more wainwrights another 1 can be added easily to the route.

Wainwrights: Crinckle Crags, Bowfell (with an option to climb Cold Pike).

Route: A with some great views over the Langdale Pikes and the Scafell Range this is one of our favourite walks. Starting at the Old Dungeon Ghyll hotel in Langdale we start along the valley bottom before climbing up via Red Tarn onto the Crinkle ridge. Passing the bad step, we will visit the Crinkles as we make our way to 3 tarns. A short climb then takes us up onto the majestic Bowfell. On the descent we will pass the great slab, before making our way back via the band to the Langdale valley for a well-deserved drink.
